The INTERNATIONAL PIG IRON ASSOCIATION [founded in 1967 and formerly known as the International Pig Iron Secretariat] is an international association for those involved in the merchant pig iron industry, be they PRODUCERS, TRADERS or others with connections to the business.



IPIA’s MISSION


Promotion of pig iron as a high quality and cost effective raw material for the steel and metal casting industries.
 
Collection and dissemination of technical and other information covering the complete value chain from raw material supply to end user industry.
 
Promotion of the free exchange of ideas between and among all industry stakeholders and other interested parties.
